making memories...

Just thinking this morning as I am relaxing in my screen room here at the campground...
That there is only a few more weeks until school starts and my long weekends here will become short ones...
Columbus Day weekend will be here before I know it and another wonderful camping season will be a memory...
Isn't that what summer is all about ~ making memories?

How will you make a memory this weekend?

Sharing today at Common Ground for Vintage Inspiration Friday where Debra is celebrating one year for this fun party by having a giveaway...

Congratulations Debra!

I am also joining Laurie Anna's Vintage Home where she hosts Farmhouse Friday.  Thank you Laurie Anna for hosting!  Over the last few weeks I have been inspired to change things up in my nest after camping season is over.
Can't you just see the excited look on Jim's face now?
Hee Hee!

Have a great weekend my friends!

  1. Our youngest son turns 18. He will be a high school senior and this is his last season of cross country. It is so bittersweet for us. We hope he goes on to college but we will supposrt him in anyway we can! He shares his birthday with his smart cousin Katie, who is an engineer just like my big brother! It is all about phamily for us. So we will be making lots of wonderful memories as we all gather to celebrate Nick and his older bro Jeremy who turned 26 on the 9th. My daughter is moving her phamily closer to us so we can scrap together again! Talk about memories! Your long weekends look like lots of fun! Have a great one! Anne

  2. What a wonderful way to spend long weekends. School has started for us, I got Alex back to college last weekend. Just last week we purchased a conversion van that Bruce can ride his power wheelchair into. It is going to give us the opportunity to both get out and about now and we are looking forward to spending some weekends taking mini road trips.
Enjoy your last long weekends at the campground.

  3. I have spent one day this summer with my grandchildren, I really have not had a chance to do anything else with anyone. I have just mainly stayed at home and enjoyed our amazingly beautiful weather.

  4. It's amazing how quickly the summer has flown by. My parents always warned me this would happen as I got older! lol! But it was a nice, warm one - and I do look forward to a nice, warm autumn, too! (keeping my fingers crossed on that one!) And then we'll all be wishing for those springtime flowers.... :)

  5. Change is always good! You are fortunate to have a place to get away to. I've been back to school for a week now but the kids still have a couple of weeks. And we have one last trip planned before they do so. Of course, we have to board a plane to get there. :) Have a wonderful weekend. Tammy

  6. I would love to be camping right now! No time! Your school hasn't started yet! Wow, our school started back Aug. 3rd. I don't think our kids get enough summer vacation! Like you said summer is what makes memories!

  7. Hi Sandi,
I shall be distressing a piece of furniture this weekend !! Not much of a memory there but hopefully I will do a reasonable job !!
Many thanks for coming over via the lovely Z. I cannot believe she so kindly did that post about my, to be honest, somewhat shallow blog !!!! haha. Z has done me such a good turn, as I am finding so many more lovely blogs, yours included. When I saw your header I sighed out loud !! XXXX

  8. I think I'm in denial that summer is coming to an end. I think I'll go with your Columbus Day close. That will give me all of September to play. Your blog is beautiful. I am your newest follower. I will be back to browse some more.

  9. Summer just goes by way too fast, especially this one! Your cabin place looks so nice and comfy. We're in Wyoming right now, making plans and working on our place where we will move when we retire. Lots of memories already this past week. Hope you are having a nice relaxing weekend!
