new finds...

I thought I would share my new finds with you today which are all in dreamy shades of white and are perfect to share with Kathleen at Faded Charm for White Wednesday.

Let's start in my kitchen with this cute little enamel covered butter cup...
Then I found this wonderful big old canister...
Don't you think it would look beautiful full of fresh cut flowers...
Are you reading this Jim?

My Paris Hotel Suite is the nesting place for this new crown I picked up at Marshalls...
For my den I found this chippy old shutter...

Love the layered look!

Then I brought home this sweet little tin heart from the shop today and it looks so cute in my studio with my script heart from my friend Sandi...
Don't forget she's having a giveaway!!

I saved my favorite for last.  I grew up in Waltham Massachusetts right near Gore Place.  It holds a special place in my heart and when I saw this sign while treasure hunting in Plymouth over the weekend I just had to bring it home...
I thought it would look great over my downstairs fireplace but it is too tall...
I have other wall space that it will fit in though so it is a keeper!
I am still working on a makeover in this room.
It has been on the back burner for a while and I do not think I will get to it over the summer.
Do you have a project (or two) that you have put off?

Thank you for visiting today and taking a peek at my new finds.
Have fun over at Faded Charm, I know I will!!

  2. All such wonderful finds Sandi! I have many projects that have been put to the side. My summer vacation officially starts today -- 2 months off, so I hope to get many things checked off my to-do list. But today is a pajama day and so far I've not accomplished much of anything. :/ have a great day. Tammy

  7. That is one big sign!! But it is very cool! I love the canister and, yes, I think flowers would look very pretty in it.
I have lots of projects (like painting my son's bedroom) that I know I'll never get to this summer. Guess it will go on the fall list :)

  15. A perfect white Wednesday :)

The cement crown my daughter and I saw one at our Marshals, she was in love with it, she loved that it was two pieces and you could do so much with it.

I love the canister, your idea of flowers is perfect, I saw a canister with the spelling FLOUR on it, and it was filled with FLOWERS so cute....such a cute play on words.

Thank you for sharing your whites, and most of all visiting my French House Address in Zinc Galvanized, along with your beautiful comment :)

  16. Your new purchases are lovely! You have such a nice style.
The project that I am working on is my screened in porch, I have picked up some amazing finds in the garbage of one of my neighbors. The elderly lady died and her kids went through and put all kinds of great things in the garbage, and I walk by there every so often and bring home what I like. Yesterday I found an old galvanized wash tub, the week before an old wash tub stand and today a very old ladder! It can't get much better than that, eh?

  20. Oh, I don't know what to comment on first in this post Sandi! That canister is awesome and does require flowers (hopefully your man gets that hint). Love the shutter, too, and that tin heart is incredible. Gotta run down to your shop again...
Okay, and Gore Place??? Wow! We considered having our wedding reception there, but ended up at Arlington's Whittemore Robbins house. Before we married, I lived in Watertown for 7 years so am very familiar with Waltham. I'm sure we can chat about more familiar places next time we meet. Happy WW dear Sandi - enjoy that great sign you scored!!!
