vintage trailers...

It's Friday!
It's also opening day at our campground!
I am so excited!

Our first trailer was a 23' 1978 Nomad.
Now the trailer was old and it needed a lot of work.
Unfortunately I do not have any photos of the inside.
Jim worked very hard for about a month or so replacing the floor and some of the walls.
We replaced the rug and I picked a coordinating color to paint all the walls ~ if I remember it was a pale shade of blue-gray.
My Mom bought me some sweet gingham curtains for the windows.
I do have a photo of the outside...
Sorry for the bad photo.  My scanner won't work so I just took a picture of the picture!

We have had a few trailers since that old beauty.
We now have an 38' 2006 Sandpiper.
I do love my trailer but would love to have an old one again so I could pretty it up like Amy did...

Simply adorable!

Now take a peek into Kerrie's...

Now I know for sure that the mister will not go for my idea of getting an old beauty to fix up and maybe use it to hit the road someday and go junkin...not yet anyway.
So for the time being I have a few ideas in mind for my home sweet trailer after seeing what Tot did to hers.  Her trailer's interior is similar to mine ~ it is generic and dark.
Here is her before...
And after, so light and pretty...
How cozy and comfortable does that look?!!!

Here is what I have to work with...
Stay tuned...

Well I would like to thank Amy, Kerrie and Tot for letting me share their photos with you today.
Also, thank you Debra for hosting Vintage Inspiration Friday over at Common Ground.

I am so glad you stopped by today and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
See you later girlfriends!

Hmmm...do you think William and Kate ever considered a camping honeymoon?

  2. I am soooo thrilled to see this post today. We are working on a vintage motor home...we looked 10 years to find a 1976 GMC...there is a whole "cult" following for them..big clubs, etc. Anyway, we finally found one with only 50,000 miles on her and we are rehabbing her and hope to have her ready by Fall. She was all orange and brown...ugh...we are fixing that! What a fun post and I went over and signed up for Amy's blog and am already a follower of the others. Thanks so much! Diana

  17. This is wonderful! When I was young my father took us across the
U.S. in a camper that looks exactly
    like the first picture. Brought
    back so many memories.

  19. I love camping, too! We just drove our motor home from Michigan to Washington State, which is where we will be calling home for awhile (hubby took a new job out here). What an adventure that was:) We sold our motor home the other day, and want to buy one with slide outs for more space. I would love to decorate it like the trailers you showed here!!
