hunting again...

Well I finally got a few days of thrifting under my belt.  With the nest purge in full swing it has been easy to feather my booth with "stuff".  While I have been happy shopping in my own home and creating new vignettes with existing treasures, my style change had me creating a new wish list so it was nice to go hunting again.  My farmhouse vision for my kitchen has spread to my den and is coming along quite nicely.  Although I am not ready to reveal the makeovers I will give you a peek at this beauty...
Ssshhhh...it was only $9.00!

I found these old spools at the shop as well as the sweet little tart pans...
3 spools and 8 tart pans for under $15!

I want to use them for candle holders but I think they look cute all tied up...
I found this great old oscillating fan that I was going to pair with the one on my inspiration hutch but I think I like it in my den...
$5...pretty cool don't you think!!

A little industrial and a little pop of blue...
And a little chipping ~ all equals perfection!  Now I did manage to find a few things to share like this old wall sconce that is in my Etsy shop...
Love all the details...

Then I picked up these 3 old prints that are part of a cottage series of 6...
I bought them for the frames.  I was going to paint them and make small chalkboards out of them or add a great image from the Graphics Fairy but the more I look at them I am not sure...

What would you do?  If you are interested in them let me know.  The frames are great...
I am joining Linda over at Coastal Charm for Nifty Thrifty Tuesday where she is having a giveaway to celebrate 1000 followers!  Congratulations Linda and thank you for hosting today!  I am so happy you stopped by ~ have a great day!

  3. Hi Sandi, wow! You found some great things. Sure is nice to change things up. I love those three cottage pictures you picked up. The muted colors are so pretty. I think I would leave them the way they are. They certainly seem to match the color changes you have been making. And you were drawn to them for a reason. Frames can be found anywhere but artwork like those can't. :) Best wishes to you, Tammy

  5. Great finds! Wow! I had a fan exactly like that when I was a kid. It sat on top of a pie safe in our kitchen in PA and was used in the summer when the heat became unbearable. Love it! Haven't seen one like it around Blogland before....ours probably burned down when the house burned because it was up in the attic the last I knew.

Love those frames too! Hugs- Diana

  8. thanks for the sneak peak! nothing like a day of thrifting...and a successful one a that! As for the frames. i have almost the EXACT trio and, yes, i painted them all just yesterday! THey, of course, look as pretty as ever in "white." Now..what to put in them?? good luck with your decision (my pictures were not as sweet as yours. tough decision).

  9. I love your vintage fan! I think the pictures inside the frames are very cute but I'm sure they'd be just as cute if you added something different:)

  11. Wow, you really found some amazingly fabulous treasures!! I have a creamer like yours but I won't tell you how much I paid for it! Definitely not $9.00! That was a great deal.
I can't wait to see how your re-do turns out!
    Have a wonderful day!
    Sincerely,

  12. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and commenting on my daughter's room re-do. She loves reading all the comments! I absolutely love this post. I covet the cottage paintings (I am an artist). I would love to paint a few exteriors like them! I am going to play on your blog when I have a little more time to visit later in the week.

    Blessings!

  13. As a lover of artwork that depicts old cottages and houses, I'm drawn to the pictures just the way they are. I am also drooling over the old sconce. Very pretty!

Many thanks for your recent kind words about my bathroom renovation. :)
