christmas in my booth...

Monday night Jim and I went into the shop and he put the last wall up in my booth!  Here is a little before reminder...
I know it was very busy, I agree.  Here is what is looks like now...

I took these pictures at the end of the night, Jim was tired and we were both hungry so my fluffing was hurried...

I originally wanted the plate rack shelf to go on the last door but Jim "forgot" the order of how I wanted the doors to go in.  I also forgot that the ugly power line would have to go on the outside of the door as is.  He also had to cut a whole in a door to mount the thermostat which of course is in my booth (but he did a very neat job).  However in the end I am so happy with how it turned out...

Yesterday I told you I was headed in to add some Christmas items for our Vintage Holiday Sale that starts tomorrow.  I made a paper chain out of my vintage English~Italian dictionary but it just did not work out.  I also did not get any twinkling lights or have any trees to light up.  I was not very organized this year.  I did put up an icicle garland though to add a little sparkle...
I think you can see it behind this little cutie.  My main focus was to get my space made over and I am just so happy it is done!  Here is a peek at what I did add...

I have a few vintage pieces filled with the decoupaged ornaments I made.  Some with sheet music...

And some with dictionary pages...
In the basket behind the bowl of ornaments are some sheet music banners I made last year.  I hung one in the back of my booth...

I have vintage ornaments too, some hanging from mirrors...

And some tucked in here and there...

I also had some decoupaged boxes leftover from last year as well...

Do you collect Santas?  I have shabby white ones...

As well as a few "Goodrich Santas"...

A friend of the family, Bobby Goodrich, hand carves a new Santa or Father Christmas figure each year and has a mold made with a limited number of each one produced.  They are wonderful and I thought it would look great if  I tucked a few of my signs in with the displays...

If you see one you like, just let me know!  Not into the darker colors of the holiday?  There is some shabby stuff too...
Our theme is a vintage holiday so I tried to keep most of my stuff vintage or vintage inspired...

After swooning over my new Jeanne d'Arc and falling in love with a simpler style I am going to plan ahead for next year and have my booth better themed.  I do like my decoupaged ornaments so if they do well I will make them over the summer.  I am still working on a few other Christmas pieces that will not be ready until after the sale and who knows what I will find while treasure hunting!

It was nice to hear yesterday that a lot of  you wait until after Thanksgiving like I do before you decorate your home for Christmas.  I think it adds to the excitement of the season!  Thank you so much for visiting and I hope you have a wonderful day!!
