thoughtful spot...

"On Wednesday, when the sky is blue,
and I have nothing else to do,
I sometimes wonder if it's true
that who is what and what is who."
Winnie the Pooh

Let me show you my thoughtful spot...
A comfy old wing back chair covered by a creamy matalesse duvet.  My personal shopper Martha (thank you!) just found this lovely vintage runner with an embroidered peacock for me and I thought it would look perfect on my chair for the fall...

The embroidery is wonderful and the colors are perfect for the room...
I picked up this pretty pillow at Marshalls.  I love the pale aqua color and thought the swirls would mimic the peacock's tail...
It is a cozy spot to sit deep in thought ~ looking for inspiration.  Now that camping season is over, and I am...
getting ready for the long, colder months ahead in my...
I need to start working on some pieces for Christmas..  I am excited to get started and I need to be ready for the Vintage Holiday Sale at the shop.  This sweet old hat is the perfect place to start...
What have you been thinking about lately and do you have a thoughtful spot?  I want to say thank you for all your thoughtful, lovely birthday wishes...they really made me smile!!  I am glad you all like my giveaway treasures too!  Remember, there will be a few surprises tucked in as well.  If you have not entered yet just click on the button atop the sidebar and leave me a comment.  Today I am joining Kathleen over at Faded Charm for White Wednesday (thank you Kathleen!) where I am always inspired.  Happy White Wednesday!!

  1. What a wonderful area to sit, relax and get inspired. I thought I had created a similar area in my studio room but now my chair is filled with "stuff". It is way more chaotic than relaxing at this moment.
Glad you had a great birthday!

  2. Your thoughtful spot seems to be very restful. It's nice to have your "me" place, huh? I have a lot on my mind lately, mostly thinking about the girls in my life who have battled and are currently battling breast cancer. Thirty-something years should not entail this kind of pain and suffering. My heart has been heavy.

And I'm also thinking "how am I ever going to get ready for my yard sale next week?!?!" So much to do!

    Have a good day!

  3. Your thoughtful place is so nice Sandi. I can't say that I have one...hmmm must work on that. Our holiday open house is Nov 7th where I have my booth so I too need to get busy. Kids coming home this weekend, but after that I need to be in full creative mode! lol

  4. Hi Sandi~ I love your resting spot. It looks cozy and comfortable..the place to sit and dream with a hot drink.

I really like that runner with the peacock on it. I've seen lots of vintage fabrics but none with a peacock embroidered on it.

I am almost afraid to ask what you are going to do with the hat;>) Diana

  5. My problem with your beautiful corner is I would sit down and not want to get back up. The peacock is the perfect little touch!

I love your little fluffy thoughtful spot!
I could think a lot if I cuddled myself up in that comfy chair.
    Well. maybe not.
On second thought, I really don't think I'd want to be "thinking" about anything...I'd rather be relaxing and enjoying a good book or a conversation with you! :)

That peacock runner is fabulous. I have such a fascination with them. I recently purchased a peacock print on a vintage book page from Etsy. It is one of my favorite things in my bedroom...
